Kipp’s Apparatus
Kipp’s made of HDPE comprises of three main portions namely,acid reservoir,gas reservoir and base.
A thistle funnel and a bulb structure are associated with the acid reservoir.
The acid reacts with a metal, positioned in the gas reservoir (Middle dome), thereby generating hydrogen gas which can be released using leakproof stopcock having self lubricating PTFE plug.
